RREMSA EMT 150: EMT Internship Course

The course is designed to deliver an advanced curriculum in a stress-free, informal environment, focusing on enhancing self-assurance and confidence-building for the next part of your EMS Education. During this 10-week intensive EMT Internship course, students will meet once a week for 8 hours. Students must complete all 120 hours of clinical time and attend at least 9 classes to receive a Certificate of Completion.

  • Medical Terminology / Documentation Review
  • Intro to Cardiology / EKG Rhythm Interpretation
  • Anatomy & Physiology / Pathophysiology

  • Critical Thinking / Test-Taking Techniques
  • Time Management / Interview Skills

Clinicals

EMT Interns will be required to complete all 120  ALS Clinical hours.

  3. Medical Terminology / Documentation Review
  4. Intro to Cardiology / EKG Rhythm Interpretation
  5. Anatomy & Physiology / Pathophysiology
  6. Patient Assessment Practice
  7. Critical Thinking / Test-Taking Techniques
  8. Time Management / Interview Skills

Attendance: Mandatory attendance at all sessions, including the 120 hours of field internship (ambulance ride-alongs)

Course Length: 10 weeks 

Course Schedule: Wednesdays, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.

Course Completion: Students who complete the EMT Instrenship course will earn a Certificate of Course Completion and 64 CEUs

The goal of the EMT Internship Course, including a 120-hour field practicum, is to equip currently licensed EMTs with the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel in a fast-paced Paramedic school. Our comprehensive curriculum, combined with extensive hands-on practice and 120 hours of field internship, is specifically designed to prepare
EMTs for the rigorous demands of Paramedic education, ensuring they are fully equipped to succeed in their pursuit of furthering their career in emergency medical services
